Jack Blake has been in the graphic design industry for over 20 years. She has worked as a full-time or freelance designer for many design companies including Future Brand, Marks & Spencer, Sainsburys, Wagstaffs, Siebert Head, Zigguart & Millini, Dragon, Brewer Riddiford, Design House, David Davies & Metropolis. Since 2002 she has focused her work within graphic design education. After completing a PGCE at Greenwich University, her first teaching role was at Surrey Institute as a lecturer on the BA(Hons) Graphic Communication programme at Farnham. During this transitional period Jack also completed her Masters Degree in Design Futures at Goldsmiths University. Her MA explored interlocking themes around design ethics and sustainability within graphic design and redesigning food systems.

Jack moved to the London College of Communication in 2004 as a senior lecturer on a range of design programmes. Since 2006 Jack as been the pathway leader for the Typo/Graphic pathway on the BA(Hons) Graphic Media Design programme. Jack has also been the external examiner for Plymouth College of Art & Design, Wolverhampton and Chesterfield.

Jack’s interests lie in printmaking, stained glass design, photography and design education. Her current research projects are Tidal Findings and Emotional Cloth.

Jack has taken part in several printmaking group shows in London and Stroud.
